بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 20:1

   طه

   Taha

   Ta-Ha.

   طٰہٰ

2. 20:2

   مَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِتَشْقَىٰٓ

   Ma anzalna AAalayka alqurana litashqa

   We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress,

   ہم نے یہ قرآن تم پر اس لیے نازل نہیں کیا ہے کہ تم مصیبت میں پڑ جاؤ

3. 20:3

   إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ

   Illa tathkiratan liman yakhsha

   But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),-

   یہ تو ایک یاد دہانی ہے ہر اس شخص کے لیے جو ڈرے

4. 20:4

   تَنزِيلًۭا مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ ٱلْعُلَى

   Tanzeelan mimman khalaqa alarda waalssamawati alAAula

   A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high.

   نازل کیا گیا ہے اُس ذات کی طرف سے جس نے پیدا کیا ہے زمین کو اور بلند آسمانوں کو

5. 20:5

   ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ

   Alrrahmanu AAala alAAarshi istawa

   (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority).

   وہ رحمان (کائنات کے) تخت سلطنت پر جلوہ فرما ہے

6. 20:6

   لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ

   Lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wama baynahuma wama tahta alththara

   To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil.

   مالک ہے اُن سب چیزوں کا جو آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں اور جو زمین و آسمان کے درمیان میں ہیں اور جو مٹی کے نیچے ہیں

7. 20:7

   وَإِن تَجْهَرْ بِٱلْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى

   Wain tajhar bialqawli fainnahu yaAAlamu alssirra waakhfa

   If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden.

   تم چاہے اپنی بات پکار کر کہو، وہ تو چپکے سے کہی ہوئی بات بلکہ اس سے مخفی تر بات بھی جانتا ہے

8. 20:8

   ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

   Allahu la ilaha illa huwa lahu alasmao alhusna

   Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names.

   وہ اللہ ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں، اس کے لیے بہترین نام ہیں

9. 20:9

   وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ

   Wahal ataka hadeethu moosa

   Has the story of Moses reached thee?

   اور تمہیں کچھ موسیٰؑ کی خبر بھی پہنچی ہے؟

10. 20:10

    إِذْ رَءَا نَارًۭا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًۭا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًۭى

    Ith raa naran faqala liahlihi omkuthoo innee anastu naran laAAallee ateekum minha biqabasin aw ajidu AAala alnnari hudan

    Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire."

    جب کہ اس نے ایک آگ دیکھی اور اپنے گھر والوں سے کہا کہ " ذرا ٹھیرو، میں نے ایک آگ دیکھی ہے، شاید کہ تمہارے لیے ایک آدھ انگارا لے آؤں، یا اِس آگ پر مجھے (راستے کے متعلق) کوئی رہنمائی مل جائے

11. 20:11

    فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِىَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

    Falamma ataha noodiya ya moosa

    But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses!

    وہاں پہنچا تو پکارا گیا "اے موسیٰؑ

12. 20:12

    إِنِّىٓ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكَ فَٱخْلَعْ نَعْلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًۭى

    Innee ana rabbuka faikhlaAA naAAlayka innaka bialwadi almuqaddasi tuwan

    "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa.

    میں ہی تیرا رب ہوں، جوتیاں اتار دے تو وادی مقدس طویٰ میں ہے

13. 20:13

    وَأَنَا ٱخْتَرْتُكَ فَٱسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ

    Waana ikhtartuka faistamiAA lima yooha

    "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee).

    اور میں نے تجھ کو چُن لیا ہے، سُن جو کچھ وحی کیا جاتا ہے

14. 20:14

    إِنَّنِىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدْنِى وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ

    Innanee ana Allahu la ilaha illa ana faoAAbudnee waaqimi alssalata lithikree

    "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise.

    میں ہی اللہ ہوں، میرے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے، پس تو میری بندگی کر اور میری یاد کے لیے نماز قائم کر

15. 20:15

    إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ

    Inna alssaAAata atiyatun akadu okhfeeha litujza kullu nafsin bima tasAAa

    "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour.

    قیامت کی گھڑی ضرور آنے والی ہے میں اُس کا وقت مخفی رکھنا چاہتا ہوں، تاکہ ہر متنفّس اپنی سعی کے مطابق بدلہ پائے

16. 20:16

    فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهَا مَن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرْدَىٰ

    Fala yasuddannaka AAanha man la yuminu biha waittabaAAa hawahu fatarda

    "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!"..

    پس کوئی ایسا شخص جو اُس پر ایمان نہیں لاتا اور اپنی خواہش نفس کا بندہ بن گیا ہے تجھ کو اُس گھڑی کی فکر سے نہ روک دے، ورنہ تو ہلاکت میں پڑ جائے گا

17. 20:17

    وَمَا تِلْكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Wama tilka biyameenika ya moosa

    "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?"

    اور اے موسیٰؑ، یہ تیرے ہاتھ میں کیا ہے؟

18. 20:18

    قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ

    Qala hiya AAasaya atawakkao AAalayha waahushshu biha AAala ghanamee waliya feeha maaribu okhra

    He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses."

    موسیٰؑ نے جواب دیا "یہ میری لاٹھی ہے، اس پر ٹیک لگا کر چلتا ہوں، اس سے اپنی بکریوں کے لیے پتے جھاڑتا ہوں، اور بھی بہت سے کام ہیں جو اس سے لیتا ہوں

19. 20:19

    قَالَ أَلْقِهَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Qala alqiha ya moosa

    (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!"

    فرمایا "پھینک دے اس کو موسیٰؑ

20. 20:20

    فَأَلْقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِىَ حَيَّةٌۭ تَسْعَىٰ

    Faalqaha faitha hiya hayyatun tasAAa

    He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion.

    اس نے پھینک دیا اور یکایک وہ ایک سانپ تھی جو دَوڑ رہا تھا

21. 20:21

    قَالَ خُذْهَا وَلَا تَخَفْ ۖ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ

    Qala khuthha wala takhaf sanuAAeeduha seerataha aloola

    (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition"..

    فرمایا "پکڑ لے اس کو اور ڈر نہیں، ہم اسے پھر ویسا ہی کر دیں گے جیسی یہ تھی

22. 20:22

    وَٱضْمُمْ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ ءَايَةً أُخْرَىٰ

    Waodmum yadaka ila janahika takhruj baydaa min ghayri sooin ayatan okhra

    "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,-

    اور ذرا اپنا ہاتھ اپنی بغل میں دبا، چمکتا ہوا نکلے گا بغیر کسی تکلیف کے یہ دوسری نشانی ہے

23. 20:23

    لِنُرِيَكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا ٱلْكُبْرَى

    Linuriyaka min ayatina alkubra

    "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs.

    اس لیے کہ ہم تجھے اپنی بڑی نشانیاں دکھانے والے ہیں

24. 20:24

    ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

    Ithhab ila firAAawna innahu tagha

    "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds."

    اب تو فرعون کے پاس جا، وہ سرکش ہو گیا ہے

25. 20:25

    قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشْرَحْ لِى صَدْرِى

    Qala rabbi ishrah lee sadree

    (Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast;

    موسیٰؑ نے عرض کیا " پروردگار، میرا سینہ کھول دے

26. 20:26

    وَيَسِّرْ لِىٓ أَمْرِى

    Wayassir lee amree

    "Ease my task for me;

    اور میرے کام کو میرے لیے آسان کر دے

27. 20:27

    وَٱحْلُلْ عُقْدَةًۭ مِّن لِّسَانِى

    Waohlul AAuqdatan min lisanee

    "And remove the impediment from my speech,

    اور میری زبان کی گرہ سُلجھا دے

28. 20:28

    يَفْقَهُوا۟ قَوْلِى

    Yafqahoo qawlee

    "So they may understand what I say:

    تاکہ لوگ میری بات سمجھ سکیں

29. 20:29

    وَٱجْعَل لِّى وَزِيرًۭا مِّنْ أَهْلِى

    WaijAAal lee wazeeran min ahlee

    "And give me a Minister from my family,

    اور میرے لیے میرے اپنے کنبے سے ایک وزیر مقرر کر دے

30. 20:30

    هَٰرُونَ أَخِى

    Haroona akhee

    "Aaron, my brother;

    ہارونؑ، جو میرا بھائی ہے

31. 20:31

    ٱشْدُدْ بِهِۦٓ أَزْرِى

    Oshdud bihi azree

    "Add to my strength through him,

    اُس کے ذریعہ سے میرا ہاتھ مضبُوط کر

32. 20:32

    وَأَشْرِكْهُ فِىٓ أَمْرِى

    Waashrikhu fee amree

    "And make him share my task:

    اور اس کو میرے کام میں شریک کر دے

33. 20:33

    كَىْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرًۭا

    Kay nusabbihaka katheeran

    "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint,

    تاکہ ہم خوب تیری پاکی بیان کریں

34. 20:34

    وَنَذْكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا

    Wanathkuraka katheeran

    "And remember Thee without stint:

    اور خوب تیرا چرچا کریں

35. 20:35

    إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرًۭا

    Innaka kunta bina baseeran

    "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us."

    تو ہمیشہ ہمارے حال پر نگران رہا ہے

36. 20:36

    قَالَ قَدْ أُوتِيتَ سُؤْلَكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Qala qad ooteeta sulaka ya moosa

    (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!"

    فرمایا "دیا گیا جو تو نے مانگا اے موسیٰؑ

37. 20:37

    وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَيْكَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَىٰٓ

    Walaqad mananna AAalayka marratan okhra

    "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before).

    ہم نے پھر ایک مرتبہ تجھ پر احسان کیا

38. 20:38

    إِذْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ

    Ith awhayna ila ommika ma yooha

    "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message:

    یاد کر وہ وقت جبکہ ہم نے تیری ماں کو اشارہ کیا ایسا اشارہ جو وحی کے ذریعہ سے ہی کیا جاتا ہے

39. 20:39

    أَنِ ٱقْذِفِيهِ فِى ٱلتَّابُوتِ فَٱقْذِفِيهِ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ فَلْيُلْقِهِ ٱلْيَمُّ بِٱلسَّاحِلِ يَأْخُذْهُ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّى وَعَدُوٌّۭ لَّهُۥ ۚ وَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةًۭ مِّنِّى وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيْنِىٓ

    Ani iqthifeehi fee alttabooti faiqthifeehi fee alyammi falyulqihi alyammu bialssahili yakhuthhu AAaduwwun lee waAAaduwwun lahu waalqaytu AAalayka mahabbatan minnee walitusnaAAa AAala AAaynee

    "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye.

    کہ اس بچے کو صندوق میں رکھ دے اور صندوق کو دریا میں چھوڑ دے دریا اسے ساحل پر پھینک دے گا اور اسے میرا دشمن اور اس بچے کا دشمن اٹھا لے گا میں نے اپنی طرف سے تجھ پر محبت طاری کر دی اور ایسا انتظام کیا کہ تو میری نگرانی میں پالا جائے

40. 20:40

    إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ ۖ فَرَجَعْنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ ۚ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۭا فَنَجَّيْنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونًۭا ۚ فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍۢ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Ith tamshee okhtuka fataqoolu hal adullukum AAala man yakfuluhu farajaAAnaka ila ommika kay taqarra AAaynuha wala tahzana waqatalta nafsan fanajjaynaka mina alghammi wafatannaka futoonan falabithta sineena fee ahli madyana thumma jita AAala qadarin ya moosa

    "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!

    یاد کر جبکہ تیری بہن چل رہی تھی، پھر جا کر کہتی ہے، "میں تمہیں اُس کا پتہ دوں جو اِس بچے کی پرورش اچھی طرح کرے؟" اس طرح ہم نے تجھے پھر تیری ماں کے پاس پہنچا دیا تاکہ اُس کی آنکھ ٹھنڈی رہے اور وہ رنجیدہ نہ ہو اور (یہ بھی یاد کر کہ) تو نے ایک شخص کو قتل کر دیا تھا، ہم نے تجھے اِس پھندے سے نکالا اور تجھے مختلف آزمائشوں سے گزارا اور تو مَدیَن کے لوگوں میں کئی سال ٹھیرا رہا پھر اب ٹھیک اپنے وقت پر تو آ گیا ہے اے موسیٰؑ

41. 20:41

    وَٱصْطَنَعْتُكَ لِنَفْسِى

    WaistanaAAtuka linafsee

    "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)"..

    میں نے تجھ کو اپنے کام کا بنا لیا ہے

42. 20:42

    ٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِـَٔايَٰتِى وَلَا تَنِيَا فِى ذِكْرِى

    Ithhab anta waakhooka biayatee wala taniya fee thikree

    "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance.

    جا، تُو اور تیرا بھائی میری نشانیوں کے ساتھ ا ور دیکھو، تم میری یاد میں تقصیر نہ کرنا

43. 20:43

    ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

    Ithhaba ila firAAawna innahu tagha

    "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds;

    جاؤ تم دونوں فرعون کے پاس کہ وہ سرکش ہو گیا ہے

44. 20:44

    فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوْلًۭا لَّيِّنًۭا لَّعَلَّهُۥ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ

    Faqoola lahu qawlan layyinan laAAallahu yatathakkaru aw yakhsha

    "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)."

    اس سے نرمی کے ساتھ بات کرنا، شاید کہ وہ نصیحت قبول کرے یا ڈر جائے

45. 20:45

    قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ

    Qala rabbana innana nakhafu an yafruta AAalayna aw an yatgha

    They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds."

    دونوں نے عرض کیا " پروردگار، ہمیں اندیشہ ہے کہ وہ ہم پر زیادتی کرے گا یا پل پڑے گا

46. 20:46

    قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآ ۖ إِنَّنِى مَعَكُمَآ أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

    Qala la takhafa innanee maAAakuma asmaAAu waara

    He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything).

    فرمایا " ڈرو مت، میں تمہارے ساتھ ہوں، سب کچھ سُن رہا ہوں اور دیکھ رہا ہوں

47. 20:47

    فَأْتِيَاهُ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ ۖ قَدْ جِئْنَٰكَ بِـَٔايَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ

    Fatiyahu faqoola inna rasoola rabbika faarsil maAAana banee israeela wala tuAAaththibhum qad jinaka biayatin min rabbika waalssalamu AAala mani ittabaAAa alhuda

    "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance!

    جاؤ اس کے پاس اور کہو کہ ہم تیرے رب کے فرستادے ہیں، بنی اسرائیل کو ہمارے ساتھ جانے کے لیے چھوڑ دے اور ان کو تکلیف نہ دے ہم تیرے پاس تیرے رب کی نشانی لے کر آئے ہیں اور سلامتی ہے اُس کے لیے جو راہِ راست کی پیروی کرے

48. 20:48

    إِنَّا قَدْ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْنَآ أَنَّ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

    Inna qad oohiya ilayna anna alAAathaba AAala man kaththaba watawalla

    "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'"

    ہم کو وحی سے بتایا گیا ہے کہ عذاب ہے اُس کے لیے جو جھُٹلائے اور منہ موڑے

49. 20:49

    قَالَ فَمَن رَّبُّكُمَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Qala faman rabbukuma ya moosa

    (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?"

    فرعون نے کہا " اچھا، تو پھر تم دونوں کا رب کون ہے اے موسیٰؑ؟

50. 20:50

    قَالَ رَبُّنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَعْطَىٰ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلْقَهُۥ ثُمَّ هَدَىٰ

    Qala rabbuna allathee aAAta kulla shayin khalqahu thumma hada

    He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance."

    موسیٰؑ نے جواب دیا "ہمارا رب وہ ہے جس نے ہر چیز کو اُس کی ساخت بخشی، پھر اس کو راستہ بتایا

51. 20:51

    قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ ٱلْقُرُونِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

    Qala fama balu alqurooni aloola

    (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?"

    فرعون بولا "اور پہلے جو نسلیں گزر چکی ہیں ان کی پھر کیا حالت تھی؟

52. 20:52

    قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّى فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ ۖ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّى وَلَا يَنسَى

    Qala AAilmuha AAinda rabbee fee kitabin la yadillu rabbee wala yansa

    He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,-

    موسیٰؑ نے کہا "اُس کا علم میرے رب کے پاس ایک نوشتے میں محفوظ ہے میرا رب نہ چُوکتا ہے نہ بھُولتا ہے

53. 20:53

    ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًۭا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًۭا وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجًۭا مِّن نَّبَاتٍۢ شَتَّىٰ

    Allathee jaAAala lakumu alarda mahdan wasalaka lakum feeha subulan waanzala mina alssamai maan faakhrajna bihi azwajan min nabatin shatta

    "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others.

    وہی جس نے تمہارے لیے زمین کا فرش بچھایا، اور اُس میں تمہارے چلنے کو راستے بنائے، اور اوپر سے پانی برسایا، پھر اُس کے ذریعہ سے مختلف اقسام کی پیداوار نکالی

54. 20:54

    كُلُوا۟ وَٱرْعَوْا۟ أَنْعَٰمَكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلنُّهَىٰ

    Kuloo wairAAaw anAAamakum inna fee thalika laayatin liolee alnnuha

    Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding.

    کھاؤ اور اپنے جانوروں کو بھی چَراؤ یقیناً اِس میں بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں عقل رکھنے والوں کے لیے

55. 20:55

    ۞ مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ

    Minha khalaqnakum wafeeha nuAAeedukum waminha nukhrijukum taratan okhra

    From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again.

    اِسی زمین سے ہم نے تم کو پیدا کیا ہے، اِسی میں ہم تمہیں واپس لے جائیں گے اور اسی سے تم کو دوبارہ نکالیں گے

56. 20:56

    وَلَقَدْ أَرَيْنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَىٰ

    Walaqad araynahu ayatina kullaha fakaththaba waaba

    And We showed Pharaoh all Our Signs, but he did reject and refuse.

    ہم نے فرعون کو اپنی سب ہی نشانیاں دکھائیں مگر وہ جھٹلائے چلا گیا اور نہ مانا

57. 20:57

    قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Qala ajitana litukhrijana min ardina bisihrika ya moosa

    He said: "Hast thou come to drive us out of our land with thy magic, O Moses?

    کہنے لگا "اے موسیٰؑ، کیا تو ہمارے پاس اس لیے آیا ہے کہ اپنے جادو کے زور سے ہم کو ہمارے ملک سے نکال باہر کرے؟

58. 20:58

    فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍۢ مِّثْلِهِۦ فَٱجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًۭا لَّا نُخْلِفُهُۥ نَحْنُ وَلَآ أَنتَ مَكَانًۭا سُوًۭى

    Falanatiyannaka bisihrin mithlihi faijAAal baynana wabaynaka mawAAidan la nukhlifuhu nahnu wala anta makanan suwan

    "But we can surely produce magic to match thine! So make a tryst between us and thee, which we shall not fail to keep - neither we nor thou - in a place where both shall have even chances."

    اچھا، ہم بھی تیرے مقابلے میں ویساہی جادو لاتے ہیں طے کر لے کب اور کہاں مقابلہ کرنا ہے نہ ہم اِس قرارداد سے پھریں گے نہ تو پھریو کھُلے میدان میں سامنے آ جا

59. 20:59

    قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ ٱلزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحْشَرَ ٱلنَّاسُ ضُحًۭى

    Qala mawAAidukum yawmu alzzeenati waan yuhshara alnnasu duhan

    Moses said: "Your tryst is the Day of the Festival, and let the people be assembled when the sun is well up."

    موسیٰؑ نے کہا "جشن کا دن طے ہوا، ا ور دن چڑھے لوگ جمع ہوں

60. 20:60

    فَتَوَلَّىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهُۥ ثُمَّ أَتَىٰ

    Fatawalla firAAawnu fajamaAAa kaydahu thumma ata

    So Pharaoh withdrew: He concerted his plan, and then came (back).

    فرعون نے پلٹ کر اپنے سارے ہتھکنڈے جمع کیے اور مقابلے میں آ گیا

61. 20:61

    قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰ وَيْلَكُمْ لَا تَفْتَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا فَيُسْحِتَكُم بِعَذَابٍۢ ۖ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ

    Qala lahum moosa waylakum la taftaroo AAala Allahi kathiban fayushitakum biAAathabin waqad khaba mani iftara

    Moses said to him: Woe to you! Forge not ye a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you (at once) utterly by chastisement: the forger must suffer frustration!"

    موسیٰؑ نے (عین موقع پر گروہ مقابل کو مخاطب کر کے) کہا "شامت کے مارو، نہ جھُوٹی تہمتیں باندھو اللہ پر، ورنہ وہ ایک سخت عذاب سے تمہارا ستیاناس کر دے گا جھوٹ جس نے بھی گھڑا وہ نامراد ہوا

62. 20:62

    فَتَنَٰزَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَىٰ

    FatanazaAAoo amrahum baynahum waasarroo alnnajwa

    So they disputed, one with another, over their affair, but they kept their talk secret.

    یہ سُن کر اُن کے درمیان اختلاف رائے ہو گیا اور وہ چپکے چپکے باہم مشورہ کرنے لگے

63. 20:63

    قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَٰنِ لَسَٰحِرَٰنِ يُرِيدَانِ أَن يُخْرِجَاكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِمَا وَيَذْهَبَا بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُ ٱلْمُثْلَىٰ

    Qaloo in hathani lasahirani yureedani an yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihima wayathhaba bitareeqatikumu almuthla

    They said: "These two are certainly (expert) magicians: their object is to drive you out from your land with their magic, and to do away with your most cherished institutions.

    آخر کار کچھ لوگو ں نے کہا کہ "یہ دونوں تو محض جادوگر ہیں اِن کا مقصد یہ ہے کہ اپنے جادو کے زور سے تم کو تمہاری زمین سے بے دخل کر دیں اور تمہارے مثالی طریق زندگی کا خاتمہ کر دیں

64. 20:64

    فَأَجْمِعُوا۟ كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ٱئْتُوا۟ صَفًّۭا ۚ وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْيَوْمَ مَنِ ٱسْتَعْلَىٰ

    FaajmiAAoo kaydakum thumma itoo saffan waqad aflaha alyawma mani istaAAla

    "Therefore concert your plan, and then assemble in (serried) ranks: He wins (all along) today who gains the upper hand."

    اپنی ساری تدبیریں آج اکٹھی کر لو اور اَیکا کر کے میدان میں آؤبس یہ سمجھ لو کہ آج جو غالب رہا وہی جیت گیا

65. 20:65

    قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ

    Qaloo ya moosa imma an tulqiya waimma an nakoona awwala man alqa

    They said: "O Moses! whether wilt thou that thou throw (first) or that we be the first to throw?"

    جادوگر بولے "موسیٰؑ، تم پھینکتے ہو یا پہلے ہم پھینکیں؟

66. 20:66

    قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا۟ ۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَىٰ

    Qala bal alqoo faitha hibaluhum waAAisiyyuhum yukhayyalu ilayhi min sihrihim annaha tasAAa

    He said, "Nay, throw ye first!" Then behold their ropes and their rods-so it seemed to him on account of their magic - began to be in lively motion!

    موسیٰؑ نے کہا "نہیں، تم ہی پھینکو" یکایک اُن کی رسّیاں اور اُن کی لاٹھیاں اُن کے جادو کے زور سے موسیٰؑ کو دَوڑتی ہوئی محسوس ہونے لگیں

67. 20:67

    فَأَوْجَسَ فِى نَفْسِهِۦ خِيفَةًۭ مُّوسَىٰ

    Faawjasa fee nafsihi kheefatan moosa

    So Moses conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear.

    اور موسیٰؑ اپنے دل میں ڈر گیا

68. 20:68

    قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

    Qulna la takhaf innaka anta alaAAla

    We said: "Fear not! for thou hast indeed the upper hand:

    ہم نے کہا "مت ڈر، تو ہی غالب رہے گا

69. 20:69

    وَأَلْقِ مَا فِى يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوٓا۟ ۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا۟ كَيْدُ سَٰحِرٍۢ ۖ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلسَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ

    Waalqi ma fee yameenika talqaf ma sanaAAoo innama sanaAAoo kaydu sahirin wala yuflihu alssahiru haythu ata

    "Throw that which is in thy right hand: Quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked what they have faked is but a magician's trick: and the magician thrives not, (no matter) where he goes."

    پھینک جو کچھ تیرے ہاتھ میں ہے، ابھی اِن کی ساری بناوٹی چیزوں کو نگلے جاتا ہے یہ جو کچھ بنا کر لائے ہیں یہ تو جادوگر کا فریب ہے، اور جادوگر کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہو سکتا، خواہ کسی شان سے وہ آئے

70. 20:70

    فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًۭا قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَٰرُونَ وَمُوسَىٰ

    Faolqiya alssaharatu sujjadan qaloo amanna birabbi haroona wamoosa

    So the magicians were thrown down to prostration: they said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses".

    آخر کو یہی ہُوا کہ سارے جادوگر سجدے میں گرا دیے گئے اور پکار اٹھے "مان لیا ہم نے ہارونؑ اور موسیٰؑ کے رب کو

71. 20:71

    قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ ۖ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍۢ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ فِى جُذُوعِ ٱلنَّخْلِ وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ أَيُّنَآ أَشَدُّ عَذَابًۭا وَأَبْقَىٰ

    Qala amantum lahu qabla an athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu alssihra falaoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin walaosallibannakum fee juthooAAi alnnakhli walataAAlamunna ayyuna ashaddu AAathaban waabqa

    (Pharaoh) said: "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this must be your leader, who has taught you magic! be sure I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will have you crucified on trunks of palm-trees: so shall ye know for certain, which of us can give the more severe and the more lasting punishment!"

    فرعون نے کہا " تم ایمان لے آئے قبل اس کے کہ میں تمہیں اس کی اجازت دیتا؟ معلوم ہو گیا کہ یہ تمہارا گرو ہے جس نے تمہیں جادوگری سکھائی تھی اچھا، اب میں تمہارے ہاتھ پاؤں مخالف سمتوں سے کٹواتا ہوں اور کھجور کے تنوں پر تم کو سُولی دیتا ہوں پھر تمہیں پتہ چل جائے گا کہ ہم دونوں میں سے کس کا عذاب زیادہ سخت اور دیر پا ہے" (یعنی میں تمہیں زیادہ سخت سزا دے سکتا ہوں یا موسیٰؑ)

72. 20:72

    قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْثِرَكَ عَلَىٰ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنَا ۖ فَٱقْضِ مَآ أَنتَ قَاضٍ ۖ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَآ

    Qaloo lan nuthiraka AAala ma jaana mina albayyinati waallathee fatarana faiqdi ma anta qadin innama taqdee hathihi alhayata alddunya

    They said: "Never shall we regard thee as more than the Clear Signs that have come to us, or than Him Who created us! so decree whatever thou desirest to decree: for thou canst only decree (touching) the life of this world.

    جادوگروں نے جواب دیا "قسم ہے اُس ذات کی جس نے ہمیں پیدا کیا ہے، یہ ہرگز نہیں ہو سکتا کہ ہم روشن نشانیاں سامنے آ جانے کے بعد بھی (صداقت پر) تجھے ترجیح دیں، تُو جو کچھ کرنا چاہے کر لے تو زیادہ سے زیادہ بس اِسی دُنیا کی زندگی کا فیصلہ کر سکتا ہے

73. 20:73

    إِنَّآ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِيَغْفِرَ لَنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَا وَمَآ أَكْرَهْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلسِّحْرِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ

    Inna amanna birabbina liyaghfira lana khatayana wama akrahtana AAalayhi mina alssihri waAllahu khayrun waabqa

    "For us, we have believed in our Lord: may He forgive us our faults, and the magic to which thou didst compel us: for Allah is Best and Most Abiding."

    ہم تو اپنے رب پر ایمان لے آئے تاکہ وہ ہماری خطائیں معاف کر دے اور اس جادوگری سے، جس پر تو نے ہمیں مجبور کیا تھا، درگزر فرمائے اللہ ہی اچھا ہے اور وہی باقی رہنے والا ہے

74. 20:74

    إِنَّهُۥ مَن يَأْتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجْرِمًۭا فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ

    Innahu man yati rabbahu mujriman fainna lahu jahannama la yamootu feeha wala yahya

    Verily he who comes to his Lord as a sinner (at Judgment),- for him is Hell: therein shall he neither die nor live.

    حقیقت یہ ہے کہ جو مجرم بن کر اپنے رب کے حضور حاضر ہوگا اُس کے لیے جہنم ہے جس میں وہ نہ جیے گا نہ مرے گا

75. 20:75

    وَمَن يَأْتِهِۦ مُؤْمِنًۭا قَدْ عَمِلَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلدَّرَجَٰتُ ٱلْعُلَىٰ

    Waman yatihi muminan qad AAamila alssalihati faolaika lahumu alddarajatu alAAula

    But such as come to Him as Believers who have worked righteous deeds,- for them are ranks exalted,-

    اور جو اس کے حضور مومن کی حیثیت سے حاضر ہو گا، جس نے نیک عمل کیے ہوں گے، ایسے سب لوگوں کے لیے بلند درجے ہیں

76. 20:76

    جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

    Jannatu AAadnin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika jazao man tazakka

    Gardens of Eternity, beneath which flow rivers: they will dwell therein for aye: such is the reward of those who purify themselves (from evil).

    سدا بہار باغ ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہوں گی، ان میں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے یہ جزا ہے اُس شخص کی جو پاکیزگی اختیار کرے

77. 20:77

    وَلَقَدْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى فَٱضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرِيقًۭا فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ يَبَسًۭا لَّا تَخَٰفُ دَرَكًۭا وَلَا تَخْشَىٰ

    Walaqad awhayna ila moosa an asri biAAibadee faidrib lahum tareeqan fee albahri yabasan la takhafu darakan wala takhsha

    We sent an inspiration to Moses: "Travel by night with My servants, and strike a dry path for them through the sea, without fear of being overtaken (by Pharaoh) and without (any other) fear."

    ہم نے موسیٰؑ پر وحی کی کہ اب راتوں رات میرے بندوں کو لے کر چل پڑ، اور اُن کے لیے سمندر میں سے سُوکھی سڑک بنا لے، تجھے کسی کے تعاقب کا ذرا خوف نہ ہو اور نہ (سمندر کے بیچ سے گزرتے ہوئے) ڈر لگے

78. 20:78

    فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِۦ فَغَشِيَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ

    FaatbaAAahum firAAawnu bijunoodihi faghashiyahum mina alyammi ma ghashiyahum

    Then Pharaoh pursued them with his forces, but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up.

    پیچھے سے فرعون اپنے لشکر لے کر پہنچا اور پھر سمندر اُن پر چھا گیا جیسا کہ چھا جانے کا حق تھا

79. 20:79

    وَأَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُۥ وَمَا هَدَىٰ

    Waadalla firAAawnu qawmahu wama hada

    Pharaoh led his people astray instead of leading them aright.

    فرعون نے اپنی قوم کو گمراہ ہی کیا تھا، کوئی صحیح رہنمائی نہیں کی تھی

80. 20:80

    يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ قَدْ أَنجَيْنَٰكُم مِّنْ عَدُوِّكُمْ وَوَٰعَدْنَٰكُمْ جَانِبَ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنَ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلْوَىٰ

    Ya banee israeela qad anjaynakum min AAaduwwikum wawaAAadnakum janiba alttoori alaymana wanazzalna AAalaykumu almanna waalssalwa

    O ye Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a Covenant with you on the right side of Mount (Sinai), and We sent down to you Manna and quails:

    اے بنی اسرائیل، ہم نے تم کو تمہارے دشمن سے نجات دی، اور طور کے دائیں جانب تمہاری حاضری کے لیے وقت مقرر کیا اور تم پر من و سلویٰ اتارا

81. 20:81

    كُلُوا۟ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبِى ۖ وَمَن يَحْلِلْ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبِى فَقَدْ هَوَىٰ

    Kuloo min tayyibati ma razaqnakum wala tatghaw feehi fayahilla AAalaykum ghadabee waman yahlil AAalayhi ghadabee faqad hawa

    (Saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance, but commit no excess therein, lest My Wrath should justly descend on you: and those on whom descends My Wrath do perish indeed!

    کھاؤ ہمارا دیا ہوا پاک رزق اور اسے کھا کر سرکشی نہ کرو، ورنہ تم پر میرا غضب ٹوٹ پڑے گا اور جس پر میرا غضب ٹوٹا وہ پھر گر کر ہی رہا

82. 20:82

    وَإِنِّى لَغَفَّارٌۭ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا ثُمَّ ٱهْتَدَىٰ

    Wainnee laghaffarun liman taba waamana waAAamila salihan thumma ihtada

    "But, without doubt, I am (also) He that forgives again and again, to those who repent, believe, and do right, who,- in fine, are ready to receive true guidance."

    البتہ جو توبہ کر لے اور ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرے، پھر سیدھا چلتا رہے، اُس کے لیے میں بہت درگزر کرنے والا ہوں

83. 20:83

    ۞ وَمَآ أَعْجَلَكَ عَن قَوْمِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

    Wama aAAjalaka AAan qawmika ya moosa

    (When Moses was up on the Mount, Allah said:) "What made thee hasten in advance of thy people, O Moses?"

    اور کیا چیز تمہیں اپنی قوم سے پہلے لے آئی موسیٰؑ؟

84. 20:84

    قَالَ هُمْ أُو۟لَآءِ عَلَىٰٓ أَثَرِى وَعَجِلْتُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّ لِتَرْضَىٰ

    Qala hum olai AAala atharee waAAajiltu ilayka rabbi litarda

    He replied: "Behold, they are close on my footsteps: I hastened to thee, O my Lord, to please thee."

    اُس نے عرض کیا " وہ بس میرے پیچھے آ ہی رہے ہیں میں جلدی کر کے تیرے حضور آ گیا ہوں اے میرے رب، تاکہ تو مجھ سے خوش ہو جائے

85. 20:85

    قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدْ فَتَنَّا قَوْمَكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ

    Qala fainna qad fatanna qawmaka min baAAdika waadallahumu alssamiriyyu

    (Allah) said: "We have tested thy people in thy absence: the Samiri has led them astray."

    فرمایا "اچھا، تو سنو، ہم نے تمہارے پیچھے تمہاری قوم کو آزمائش میں ڈال دیا اور سامری نے انہیں گمراہ کر ڈالا

86. 20:86

    فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًۭا ۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا ۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُم مَّوْعِدِى

    FarajaAAa moosa ila qawmihi ghadbana asifan qala ya qawmi alam yaAAidkum rabbukum waAAdan hasanan afatala AAalaykumu alAAahdu am aradtum an yahilla AAalaykum ghadabun min rabbikum faakhlaftum mawAAidee

    So Moses returned to his people in a state of indignation and sorrow. He said: "O my people! did not your Lord make a handsome promise to you? Did then the promise seem to you long (in coming)? Or did ye desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you, and so ye broke your promise to me?"

    موسیٰؑ سخت غصّے اور رنج کی حالت میں اپنی قوم کی طرف پلٹا جا کر اُس نے کہا "اے میری قوم کے لوگو، کیا تمہارے رب نے تم سے اچھے وعدے نہیں کیے تھے؟ کیا تمہیں دن لگ گئے ہیں؟ یا تم اپنے رب کا غضب ہی اپنے اوپر لانا چاہتے تھے کہ تم نے مجھ سے وعدہ خلافی کی؟

87. 20:87

    قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَآ أَوْزَارًۭا مِّن زِينَةِ ٱلْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَٰهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ

    Qaloo ma akhlafna mawAAidaka bimalkina walakinna hummilna awzaran min zeenati alqawmi faqathafnaha fakathalika alqa alssamiriyyu

    They said: "We broke not the promise to thee, as far as lay in our power: but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (whole) people, and we threw them (into the fire), and that was what the Samiri suggested.

    انہوں نے جواب دیا "ہم نے آپ سے وعدہ خلافی کچھ اپنے اختیار سے نہیں کی، معاملہ یہ ہُوا کہ لوگوں کے زیورات کے بوجھ سے ہم لَد گئے تھے اور ہم نے بس اُن کو پھینک دیا تھا" پھر اس طرح سامری نے بھی کچھ ڈالا

88. 20:88

    فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًۭا جَسَدًۭا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌۭ فَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِىَ

    Faakhraja lahum AAijlan jasadan lahu khuwarun faqaloo hatha ilahukum wailahu moosa fanasiya

    "Then he brought out (of the fire) before the (people) the image of a calf: It seemed to low: so they said: This is your god, and the god of Moses, but (Moses) has forgotten!"

    اور ان کے لیے ایک بچھڑے کی مورت بنا کر نکال لایا جس میں سے بیل کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی لوگ پکار اٹھے "یہی ہے تمہارا خدا اور موسیٰؑ کا خدا، موسیٰؑ اسے بھول گیا

89. 20:89

    أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًۭا وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا

    Afala yarawna alla yarjiAAu ilayhim qawlan wala yamliku lahum darran wala nafAAan

    Could they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good?

    کیا وہ نہ دیکھتے تھے کہ نہ وہ اُن کی بات کا جواب دیتا ہے اور نہ ان کے نفع و نقصان کا کچھ اختیار رکھتا ہے؟

90. 20:90

    وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَٰرُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى وَأَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرِى

    Walaqad qala lahum haroonu min qablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wainna rabbakumu alrrahmanu faittabiAAoonee waateeAAoo amree

    Aaron had already, before this said to them: "O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious; so follow me and obey my command."

    ہارونؑ (موسیٰؑ کے آنے سے) پہلے ہی ان سے کہہ چکا تھا کہ "لوگو، تم اِس کی وجہ سے فتنے میں پڑ گئے ہو، تمہارا رب تو رحمٰن ہے، پس تم میری پیروی کرو اور میری بات مانو

91. 20:91

    قَالُوا۟ لَن نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَٰكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ

    Qaloo lan nabraha AAalayhi AAakifeena hatta yarjiAAa ilayna moosa

    They had said: "We will not abandon this cult, but we will devote ourselves to it until Moses returns to us."

    مگر اُنہوں نے اس سے کہہ دیا کہ "ہم تو اسی کی پرستش کرتے رہیں گے جب تک کہ موسیٰؑ واپس نہ آ جائے

92. 20:92

    قَالَ يَٰهَٰرُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوٓا۟

    Qala ya haroonu ma manaAAaka ith raaytahum dalloo

    (Moses) said: "O Aaron! what kept thee back, when thou sawest them going wrong,

    موسیٰؑ (قوم کو ڈانٹنے کے بعد ہارونؑ کی طرف پلٹا اور) بولا "ہارونؑ، تم نے جب دیکھا تھا کہ یہ گمراہ ہو رہے ہیں

93. 20:93

    أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِ ۖ أَفَعَصَيْتَ أَمْرِى

    Alla tattabiAAani afaAAasayta amree

    "From following me? Didst thou then disobey my order?"

    تو کس چیز نے تمہارا ہاتھ پکڑا تھا کہ میرے طریقے پر عمل نہ کرو؟ کیا تم نے میرے حکم کی خلاف ورزی کی؟

94. 20:94

    قَالَ يَبْنَؤُمَّ لَا تَأْخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِى وَلَا بِرَأْسِىٓ ۖ إِنِّى خَشِيتُ أَن تَقُولَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرْقُبْ قَوْلِى

    Qala ya bna omma la takhuth bilihyatee wala birasee innee khasheetu an taqoola farraqta bayna banee israeela walam tarqub qawlee

    (Aaron) replied: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard nor by (the hair of) my head! Truly I feared lest thou shouldst say, 'Thou has caused a division among the children of Israel, and thou didst not respect my word!'"

    ہارونؑ نے جواب دیا "اے میری ماں کے بیٹے، میری داڑھی نہ پکڑ، نہ میرے سر کے بال کھینچ، مجھے اِس بات کا ڈر تھا کہ تو آ کر کہے گا تم نے بنی اسرائیل میں پھوٹ ڈال دی اور میری بات کا پاس نہ کیا

95. 20:95

    قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكَ يَٰسَٰمِرِىُّ

    Qala fama khatbuka ya samiriyyu

    (Moses) said: "What then is thy case, O Samiri?"

    موسیٰؑ نے کہا "اور سامری، تیرا کیا معاملہ ہے؟

96. 20:96

    قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةًۭ مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِى نَفْسِى

    Qala basurtu bima lam yabsuroo bihi faqabadtu qabdatan min athari alrrasooli fanabathtuha wakathalika sawwalat lee nafsee

    He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful (of dust) from the footprint of the Messenger, and threw it (into the calf): thus did my soul suggest to me."

    اس نے جواب دیا "میں نے وہ چیز دیکھی جو اِن لوگوں کو نظر نہ آئی، پس میں نے رسُول کے نقش قدم سے ایک مٹھی اٹھا لی اور اُس کو ڈال دیا میرے نفس نے مجھے کچھ ایسا ہی سجھایا

97. 20:97

    قَالَ فَٱذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًۭا لَّن تُخْلَفَهُۥ ۖ وَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِكَ ٱلَّذِى ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًۭا ۖ لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ نَسْفًا

    Qala faithhab fainna laka fee alhayati an taqoola la misasa wainna laka mawAAidan lan tukhlafahu waonthur ila ilahika allathee thalta AAalayhi AAakifan lanuharriqannahu thumma lanansifannahu fee alyammi nasfan

    (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, 'touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!"

    موسیٰؑ نے کہا " اچھا تو جا، اب زندگی بھر تجھے یہی پکارتے رہنا ہے کہ مجھے نہ چھونا اور تیرے لیے بازپُرس کا ایک وقت مقرر ہے جو تجھ سے ہرگز نہ ٹلے گا اور دیکھ اپنے اِس خدا کو جس پر تو ریجھا ہُوا تھا، اب ہم اسے جلا ڈالیں گے اور ریزہ ریزہ کر کے دریا میں بہا دیں گے

98. 20:98

    إِنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًۭا

    Innama ilahukumu Allahu allathee la ilaha illa huwa wasiAAa kulla shayin AAilman

    But the god of you all is the One Allah: there is no god but He: all things He comprehends in His knowledge.

    لوگو، تمہارا خدا تو بس ایک ہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی اور خدا نہیں ہے، ہر چیز پر اُس کا علم حاوی ہے

99. 20:99

    كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ ۚ وَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَٰكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكْرًۭا

    Kathalika naqussu AAalayka min anbai ma qad sabaqa waqad ataynaka min ladunna thikran

    Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence.

    اے محمدؐ، ا س طرح ہم پچھلے گزرے ہوئے حالات کی خبریں تم کو سُناتے ہیں، اور ہم نے خاص اپنے ہاں سے تم کو ایک "ذکر"(درسِ نصیحت) عطا کیا ہے

100. 20:100

     مَّنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَحْمِلُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وِزْرًا

     Man aAArada AAanhu fainnahu yahmilu yawma alqiyamati wizran

     If any do turn away therefrom, verily they will bear a burden on the Day of judgment;

     جو کوئی اِس سے منہ موڑے گا وہ قیامت کے دن سخت بار گناہ اٹھائے گا

101. 20:101

     خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهِ ۖ وَسَآءَ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ حِمْلًۭا

     Khalideena feehi wasaa lahum yawma alqiyamati himlan

     They will abide in this (state): and grievous will the burden be to them on that Day,-

     اور ایسے سب لوگ ہمیشہ اس کے وبال میں گرفتار رہیں گے، اور قیامت کے دن اُن کے لیے (اِس جرم کی ذمہ داری کا بوجھ) بڑا تکلیف دہ بوجھ ہوگا

102. 20:102

     يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ وَنَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ زُرْقًۭا

     Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori wanahshuru almujrimeena yawmaithin zurqan

     The Day when the Trumpet will be sounded: that Day, We shall gather the sinful, blear-eyed (with terror).

     اُس دن جبکہ صُور پھُونکا جائے گا اور ہم مجرموں کو اِس حال میں گھیر لائیں گے کہ ان کی آنکھیں (دہشت کے مارے) پتھرائی ہوئی ہوں گی

103. 20:103

     يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا عَشْرًۭا

     Yatakhafatoona baynahum in labithtum illa AAashran

     In whispers will they consult each other: "Yet tarried not longer than ten (Days);

     آپس میں چپکے چپکے کہیں گے کہ دُنیا میں مشکل ہی سے تم نے کوئی دس دن گزارے ہوں گے

104. 20:104

     نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذْ يَقُولُ أَمْثَلُهُمْ طَرِيقَةً إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا يَوْمًۭا

     Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloona ith yaqoolu amthaluhum tareeqatan in labithtum illa yawman

     We know best what they will say, when their leader most eminent in conduct will say: "Ye tarried not longer than a day!"

     ہمیں خوب معلوم ہے کہ وہ کیا باتیں کر رہے ہوں گے (ہم یہ بھی جانتے ہیں کہ) اُس وقت ان میں سے جو زیادہ سے زیادہ محتاط اندازہ لگانے والا ہوگا وہ کہے گا کہ نہیں، تمہاری دنیا کی زندگی بس ایک دن کی تھی

105. 20:105

     وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّى نَسْفًۭا

     Wayasaloonaka AAani aljibali faqul yansifuha rabbee nasfan

     They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say, "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust;

     یہ لوگ تم سے پُوچھتے ہیں کہ آخر اُس دن یہ پہاڑ کہاں چلے جائیں گے؟ کہو کہ میرا رب ان کو دھول بنا کر اڑا دے گا

106. 20:106

     فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًۭا صَفْصَفًۭا

     Fayatharuha qaAAan safsafan

     "He will leave them as plains smooth and level;

     اور زمین کو ایسا ہموار چٹیل میدان بنا دے گا

107. 20:107

     لَّا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجًۭا وَلَآ أَمْتًۭا

     La tara feeha AAiwajan wala amtan

     "Nothing crooked or curved wilt thou see in their place."

     کہ اس میں تم کوئی بل اور سلوٹ نہ دیکھو گے

108. 20:108

     يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلدَّاعِىَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُۥ ۖ وَخَشَعَتِ ٱلْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًۭا

     Yawmaithin yattabiAAoona alddaAAiya la AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati alaswatu lilrrahmani fala tasmaAAu illa hamsan

     On that Day will they follow the Caller (straight): no crookedness (can they show) him: all sounds shall humble themselves in the Presence of (Allah) Most Gracious: nothing shalt thou hear but the tramp of their feet (as they march).

     اس روز سب لوگ منادی کی پکار پر سیدھے چلے آئیں گے، کوئی ذرا اکڑ نہ دکھا سکے گا اور آوازیں رحمان کے آگے دب جائیں گی، ایک سرسراہٹ کے سوا تم کچھ نہ سنو گے

109. 20:109

     يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَرَضِىَ لَهُۥ قَوْلًۭا

     Yawmaithin la tanfaAAu alshshafaAAatu illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waradiya lahu qawlan

     On that Day shall no intercession avail except for those for whom permission has been granted by (Allah) Most Gracious and whose word is acceptable to Him.

     اُس روز شفاعت کارگر نہ ہو گی، اِلّا یہ کہ کسی کو رحمان اس کی اجازت دے اور اس کی بات سننا پسند کرے

110. 20:110

     يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِۦ عِلْمًۭا

     YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yuheetoona bihi AAilman

     He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them: but they shall not compass it with their knowledge.

     وہ لوگوں کا اگلا پچھلا سب حال جانتا ہے اور دُوسروں کو اس کا پورا عِلم نہیں ہے

111. 20:111

     ۞ وَعَنَتِ ٱلْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَىِّ ٱلْقَيُّومِ ۖ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْمًۭا

     WaAAanati alwujoohu lilhayyi alqayyoomi waqad khaba man hamala thulman

     (All) faces shall be humbled before (Him) - the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal: hopeless indeed will be the man that carries iniquity (on his back).

     لوگوں کے سر اُس حیّ و قیّوم کے آگے جھک جائیں گے نامراد ہوگا جو اُس وقت کسی ظلم کا بار گناہ اٹھائے ہوئے ہو

112. 20:112

     وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَلَا يَخَافُ ظُلْمًۭا وَلَا هَضْمًۭا

     Waman yaAAmal mina alssalihati wahuwa muminun fala yakhafu thulman wala hadman

     But he who works deeds of righteousness, and has faith, will have no fear of harm nor of any curtailment (of what is his due).

     اور کسی ظلم یا حق تلفی کا خطرہ نہ ہوگا اُس شخص کو جو نیک عمل کرے اور اِس کے ساتھ وہ مومن بھی ہو

113. 20:113

     وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّۭا وَصَرَّفْنَا فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلْوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ أَوْ يُحْدِثُ لَهُمْ ذِكْرًۭا

     Wakathalika anzalnahu quranan AAarabiyyan wasarrafna feehi mina alwaAAeedi laAAallahum yattaqoona aw yuhdithu lahum thikran

     Thus have We sent this down - an arabic Qur'an - and explained therein in detail some of the warnings, in order that they may fear Allah, or that it may cause their remembrance (of Him).

     اور اے محمدؐ، اِسی طرح ہم نے اِسے قرآن عربی بنا کر نازل کیا ہے اور اس میں طرح طرح سے تنبیہات کی ہیں شاید کہ یہ لوگ کج روی سے بچیں یا ان میں کچھ ہوش کے آثار اِس کی بدولت پیدا ہوں

114. 20:114

     فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۗ وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُقْضَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُۥ ۖ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًۭا

     FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu wala taAAjal bialqurani min qabli an yuqda ilayka wahyuhu waqul rabbi zidnee AAilman

     High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say, "O my Lord! advance me in knowledge."

     پس بالا و برتر ہے اللہ، پادشاہ حقیقی اور دیکھو، قرآن پڑھنے میں جلدی نہ کیا کرو جب تک کہ تمہاری طرف اُس کی وحی تکمیل کو نہ پہنچ جائے، اور دُعا کرو کہ اے پروردگار مجھے مزید علم عطا کر

115. 20:115

     وَلَقَدْ عَهِدْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ ءَادَمَ مِن قَبْلُ فَنَسِىَ وَلَمْ نَجِدْ لَهُۥ عَزْمًۭا

     Walaqad AAahidna ila adama min qablu fanasiya walam najid lahu AAazman

     We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm resolve.

     ہم نے اِس سے پہلے آدمؑ کو ایک حکم دیا تھا، مگر وہ بھول گیا اور ہم نے اُس میں عزم نہ پایا

116. 20:116

     وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ

     Waith qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa aba

     When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused.

     یاد کرو وہ وقت جبکہ ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا تھا کہ آدمؑ کو سجدہ کرو وہ سب تو سجدہ کر گئے، مگر ایک ابلیس تھا کہ انکار کر بیٹھا

117. 20:117

     فَقُلْنَا يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا عَدُوٌّۭ لَّكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَىٰٓ

     Faqulna ya adamu inna hatha AAaduwwun laka walizawjika fala yukhrijannakuma mina aljannati fatashqa

     Then We said: "O Adam! verily, this is an enemy to thee and thy wife: so let him not get you both out of the Garden, so that thou art landed in misery.

     اس پر ہم نے آدمؑ سے کہا کہ "دیکھو، یہ تمہارا اور تمہاری بیوی کا دشمن ہے، ایسا نہ ہو کہ یہ تمہیں جنت سے نکلوا دے اور تم مصیبت میں پڑ جاؤ

118. 20:118

     إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعْرَىٰ

     Inna laka alla tajooAAa feeha wala taAAra

     "There is therein (enough provision) for thee not to go hungry nor to go naked,

     یہاں تو تمہیں یہ آسائشیں حاصل ہیں کہ نہ بھوکے ننگے رہتے ہو

119. 20:119

     وَأَنَّكَ لَا تَظْمَؤُا۟ فِيهَا وَلَا تَضْحَىٰ

     Waannaka la tathmao feeha wala tadha

     "Nor to suffer from thirst, nor from the sun's heat."

     نہ پیاس اور دھوپ تمہیں ستاتی ہے

120. 20:120

     فَوَسْوَسَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ قَالَ يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍۢ لَّا يَبْلَىٰ

     Fawaswasa ilayhi alshshaytanu qala ya adamu hal adulluka AAala shajarati alkhuldi wamulkin la yabla

     But Satan whispered evil to him: he said, "O Adam! shall I lead thee to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that never decays?"

     لیکن شیطان نے اس کو پھُسلایا کہنے لگا "آدم، بتاؤں تمہیں وہ درخت جس سے ابدی زندگی اور لازوال سلطنت حاصل ہوتی ہے؟

121. 20:121

     فَأَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚ وَعَصَىٰٓ ءَادَمُ رَبَّهُۥ فَغَوَىٰ

     Faakala minha fabadat lahuma sawatuhuma watafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhima min waraqi aljannati waAAasa adamu rabbahu faghawa

     In the result, they both ate of the tree, and so their nakedness appeared to them: they began to sew together, for their covering, leaves from the Garden: thus did Adam disobey his Lord, and allow himself to be seduced.

     آخرکار وہ دونوں (میاں بیوی) اُس درخت کا پھل کھا گئے نتیجہ یہ ہُوا کہ فوراً ہی ان کے ستر ایک دوسرے کے آگے کھُل گئے اور لگے دونوں اپنے آپ کو جنّت کے پتّوں سے ڈھانکنے آدمؑ نے اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کی اور راہِ راست سے بھٹک گیا

122. 20:122

     ثُمَّ ٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَىٰ

     Thumma ijtabahu rabbuhu fataba AAalayhi wahada

     But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance.

     پھر اُس کے رب نے اُسے برگزیدہ کیا اور اس کی توبہ قبول کر لی اور اسے ہدایت بخشی

123. 20:123

     قَالَ ٱهْبِطَا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًۢا ۖ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّۭ ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًۭى فَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هُدَاىَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَىٰ

     Qala ihbita minha jameeAAan baAAdukum libaAAdin AAaduwwun faimma yatiyannakum minnee hudan famani ittabaAAa hudaya fala yadillu wala yashqa

     He said: "Get ye down, both of you,- all together, from the Garden, with enmity one to another: but if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from Me, whosoever follows My Guidance, will not lose his way, nor fall into misery.

     اور فرمایا "تم دونوں (فریق، یعنی انسان اور شیطان) یہاں سے اتر جاؤ تم ایک دُوسرے کے دشمن رہو گے اب اگر میری طرف سے تمہیں کوئی ہدایت پہنچے تو جو کوئی میری اُس ہدایت کی پیروی کرے گا وہ نہ بھٹکے گا نہ بد بختی میں مبتلا ہو گا

124. 20:124

     وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةًۭ ضَنكًۭا وَنَحْشُرُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ أَعْمَىٰ

     Waman aAArada AAan thikree fainna lahu maAAeeshatan dankan wanahshuruhu yawma alqiyamati aAAman

     "But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment."

     اور جو میرے "ذِکر"(درسِ نصیحت) سے منہ موڑے گا اُس کے لیے دنیا میں تنگ زندگی ہو گی اور قیامت کے روز ہم اسے اندھا اٹھائیں گے

125. 20:125

     قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِىٓ أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنتُ بَصِيرًۭا

     Qala rabbi lima hashartanee aAAma waqad kuntu baseeran

     He will say: "O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?"

     وہ کہے گا "پروردگار، دُنیا میں تو میں آنکھوں والا تھا، یہاں مجھے اندھا کیوں اُٹھایا؟

126. 20:126

     قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ

     Qala kathalika atatka ayatuna fanaseetaha wakathalika alyawma tunsa

     (Allah) will say: "Thus didst Thou, when Our Signs came unto thee, disregard them: so wilt thou, this day, be disregarded."

     اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا "ہاں، اِسی طرح تو ہماری آیات کو، جبکہ وہ تیرے پاس آئی تھیں، تُو نے بھُلا دیا تھا اُسی طرح آج تو بھلایا جا رہا ہے

127. 20:127

     وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ

     Wakathalika najzee man asrafa walam yumin biayati rabbihi walaAAathabu alakhirati ashaddu waabqa

     And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring.

     اِس طرح ہم حد سے گزرنے والے اور اپنے رب کی آیات نہ ماننے والے کو (دُنیا میں) بدلہ دیتے ہیں، اور آخرت کا عذاب زیادہ سخت اور زیادہ دیر پا ہے

128. 20:128

     أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِى مَسَٰكِنِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلنُّهَىٰ

     Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna fee thalika laayatin liolee alnnuha

     Is it not a warning to such men (to call to mind) how many generations before them We destroyed, in whose haunts they (now) move? Verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding.

     پھر کیا اِن لوگوں کو (تاریخ کے اس سبق سے) کوئی ہدایت نہ ملی کہ اِن سے پہلے کتنی ہی قوموں کو ہم ہلاک کر چکے ہیں جن کی (برباد شدہ) بستیوں میں آج یہ چلتے پھرتے ہیں؟ در حقیقت اِس میں بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو عقل سلیم رکھنے والے ہیں

129. 20:129

     وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌۭ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًۭا وَأَجَلٌۭ مُّسَمًّۭى

     Walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika lakana lizaman waajalun musamman

     Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their punishment) must necessarily have come; but there is a Term appointed (for respite).

     اگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے پہلے ایک بات طے نہ کر دی گئی ہوتی اور مہلت کی ایک مدّت مقرّر نہ کی جا چکی ہوتی تو ضرور اِن کا بھی فیصلہ چکا دیا جاتا

130. 20:130

     فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا ۖ وَمِنْ ءَانَآئِ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ

     Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla ghuroobiha wamin anai allayli fasabbih waatrafa alnnahari laAAallaka tarda

     Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy.

     پس اے محمدؐ، جو باتیں یہ لوگ بناتے ہیں اُن پر صبر کرو، اور اپنے رب کی حمد و ثنا کے ساتھ اُس کی تسبیح کرو سورج نکلنے سے پہلے اور غروب ہونے سے پہلے، اور رات کے اوقات میں بھی تسبیح کرو اور دن کے کناروں پر بھی، شاید کہ تم راضی ہو جاؤ

131. 20:131

     وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجًۭا مِّنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰ

     Wala tamuddanna AAaynayka ila ma mattaAAna bihi azwajan minhum zahrata alhayati alddunya linaftinahum feehi warizqu rabbika khayrun waabqa

     Nor strain thine eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to parties of them, the splendour of the life of this world, through which We test them: but the provision of thy Lord is better and more enduring.

     اور نگاہ اُٹھا کر بھی نہ دیکھو دُنیوی زندگی کی اُس شان و شوکت کو جو ہم نے اِن میں سے مختلف قسم کے لوگوں کو دے رکھی ہے وہ تو ہم نے انہیں آزمائش میں ڈالنے کے لیے دی ہے، اور تیرے رب کا دیا ہوا رزق حلال ہی بہتر اور پائندہ تر ہے

132. 20:132

     وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا ۖ لَا نَسْـَٔلُكَ رِزْقًۭا ۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ ۗ وَٱلْعَٰقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

     Wamur ahlaka bialssalati waistabir AAalayha la nasaluka rizqan nahnu narzuquka waalAAaqibatu lilttaqwa

     Enjoin prayer on thy people, and be constant therein. We ask thee not to provide sustenance: We provide it for thee. But the (fruit of) the Hereafter is for righteousness.

     اپنے اہل و عیال کو نماز کی تلقین کرو اور خود بھی اس کے پابند رہو ہم تم سے کوئی رزق نہیں چاہتے، رزق تو ہم ہی تمہیں دے رہے ہیں اور انجام کی بھلائی تقویٰ ہی کے لیے ہے

133. 20:133

     وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِـَٔايَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۚ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

     Waqaloo lawla yateena biayatin min rabbihi awalam tatihim bayyinatu ma fee alssuhufi aloola

     They say: "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has not a Clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation?

     وہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ شخص اپنے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی (معجزہ) کیوں نہیں لاتا؟ اور کیا ان کے پاس اگلے صحیفوں کی تمام تعلیمات کا بیان واضح نہیں آ گیا؟

134. 20:134

     وَلَوْ أَنَّآ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِعَذَابٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا لَوْلَآ أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًۭا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَٰتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ

     Walaw anna ahlaknahum biAAathabin min qablihi laqaloo rabbana lawla arsalta ilayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatika min qabli an nathilla wanakhza

     And if We had inflicted on them a penalty before this, they would have said: "Our Lord! If only Thou hadst sent us a messenger, we should certainly have followed Thy Signs before we were humbled and put to shame."

     اگر ہم اُس کے آنے سے پہلے اِن کو کسی عذاب سے ہلاک کر دیتے تو پھر یہی لوگ کہتے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار، تو نے ہمارے پاس کوئی رسول کیوں نہ بھیجا کہ ذلیل و رسوا ہونے سے پہلے ہی ہم تیری آیات کی پیروی اختیار کر لیتے

135. 20:135

     قُلْ كُلٌّۭ مُّتَرَبِّصٌۭ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ ٱلسَّوِىِّ وَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ

     Qul kullun mutarabbisun fatarabbasoo fasataAAlamoona man ashabu alssirati alssawiyyi wamani ihtada

     Say: "Each one (of us) is waiting: wait ye, therefore, and soon shall ye know who it is that is on the straight and even way, and who it is that has received Guidance."

     اے محمدؐ، ان سے کہو، ہر ایک انجام کار کے انتظار میں ہے، پس اب منتظر رہو، عنقریب تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کون سیدھی راہ چلنے والے ہیں اور کون ہدایت یافتہ ہیں
