Pedro Porro will miss the rest of Tottenham’s season after a hamstring tear was confirmed on Tuesday, joining a growing list of injured Spurs that now includes Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Harry Kane. The club’s medical team said the injury, sustained in training on Monday, will keep Porro out for at least six months, effectively ending his chances of contributing to the final push for a European spot.

The injuries come at a critical moment for a side that has struggled to score and climb out of the bottom half of the Premier League. Tottenham entered the international break with only three wins in their last ten matches and a goal tally that ranks among the league’s lowest. The squad’s depth has been tested since the summer, when key signings failed to adapt and a series of minor knocks turned into long‑term absences. Kulusevski, who has been in and out of the starting eleven, suffered a calf strain last week and is now expected to be sidelined for a month. Maddison’s ankle sprain and Kane’s recurring hamstring issues have further limited the team’s attacking options, leaving manager Ange Postecoglou with limited choices for the remaining fixtures.

With the transfer window closed, Tottenham will have to rely on younger players and fringe squad members to fill the gaps. The club’s academy prospect, Japhet Tanganga, is expected to see more minutes at right back, while the coaching staff has hinted at a possible tactical shift to a more compact midfield to protect the defense. The next match against Liverpool will be a litmus test for Postecoglou’s ability to adapt without his star players. If Spurs can secure points, they may still qualify for the Europa League, but the injury crisis has already cast doubt on any realistic challenge for higher honors this season.
