VITURE launches Pro 2 XR glasses, weighing 63 grams at $299

VITURE has launched its latest XR glasses, the VITURE Pro 2, marking the brand's fifth anniversary. The new glasses, which weigh only 63 grams, are being touted as the lightest and most compact model the company has produced to date. They are now available for purchase on VITURE's website and Amazon for $299, significantly cheaper than last year’s Luma series.

This launch comes at a time when the market for augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR) glasses is rapidly evolving. Major tech companies like Samsung and Google are pushing to establish their presence in the AR space. However, VITURE focuses on creating versatile XR glasses that can connect to any device via a USB-C port. This approach appeals to users seeking a straightforward, adaptable solution without the complexities often associated with artificial intelligence integration.

The VITURE Pro 2 features several enhancements over its predecessor, the VITURE Pro. Improvements include better field curvature, image sharpness, geometric distortion management, and image stability. These updates are designed to provide a clearer and more immersive experience, with a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. While the company has not disclosed the resolution for the Pro 2, the previous model offered 1200p per eye and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the new glasses include dials for adjusting vision, accommodating users with myopia.

Alongside the Pro 2 glasses, VITURE also introduced the Mobile Dock Mini, a compact accessory designed for enhanced connectivity. Priced at $99, the Dock Mini allows users to connect multiple devices to the glasses and features a built-in 10,000mAh battery. This modular accessory offers flexibility, enabling users to charge other devices while using the glasses.
