Nordex Group has secured a significant order from Türkerler Holding to supply and install wind turbines with a total capacity of approximately 525 megawatts in Türkiye. The announcement was made on Thursday, marking a substantial step for the German wind turbine manufacturer in expanding its footprint in the Turkish renewable energy sector.

This contract is particularly timely as Türkiye continues to invest heavily in renewable energy infrastructure. The deal includes the supply and installation of 72 N175/6.X turbines for the YEKA-5 R25 Sivas wind project, located in Sivas. The installation of the first turbine is set to begin in the third quarter of 2027, a timeline that aligns with the country's goals to increase its renewable energy capacity.

The contract also features a 10-year Premium Service agreement, with the option to extend service for an additional 15 years. The turbines will be installed at an impressive height of 108 meters, allowing for enhanced energy capture. Nordex's growing presence in Türkiye is notable; the company now holds a cumulative market share of 34% in the Turkish wind market, which is one of the fastest-growing in Europe.

Nordex's stock traded down 3.59% on Wednesday, closing at EUR 38.12 on the XETRA exchange. Despite this short-term dip, the new order positions Nordex favorably for future growth in a market that is increasingly prioritizing sustainable energy sources. As countries like Türkiye push toward ambitious climate goals, agreements like this highlight the essential role of wind energy in achieving a greener future.
