Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys. On Thursday, Elanco Animal Health's, Lawrence Erik Kurzius, made a $935,920 purchase of ELAN, buying 40,000 shares at a cost of $23.40 a piece. Kurzius was up about 4.9% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with ELAN trading as high as $24.54 in trading on Monday. Elanco Animal Health is trading up about 0.3% on the day Monday. Before this latest buy, Kurzius made one other buy in the past year, purchasing $213,000 shares at a cost of $21.30 each. And on Wednesday, Director Rajesh Kalathur purchased $500,664 worth of BorgWarner, purchasing 7,407 shares at a cost of $67.59 a piece. This purchase marks the first one filed by Kalathur in the past twelve months. BorgWarner is trading off about 4.5% on the day Monday. VIDEO: Monday 8/24 Insider Buying Report: ELAN, BWA
